Following last weeks announcement, CBS All Access is now live within Apples TV app, appearing prominently under the ‘Try Apple TV Channels’ banner. Selecting CBS All Access will take users to the service’s dedicated page where potential subscribers can sign up for a free seven day trial, after which CBS All Access will cost $9.99 a month.

One of the benefits of Apple TV channels is that with Apple handling all billing you can now manage your subscriptions with ease, a la carte.

All content through Apple TV channels is hosted by Apple and can be viewed through the TV app’s unified interface on iOS, tvOS and Samsung TVs or via AirPlay (with Mac OS coming later this year), negating the need for multiple apps and passwords whilst syncing progress across devices.

In addition to channels subscription family sharing, active subscribers can also download CBS All Access content to their iOS device for offline viewing (with the exception of movies) as-well-as access CBS live streaming through the TV app.

Apple TV channel subscriptions announced so far include; HBO, Starz, SHOWTIME, Smithsonian Channel, EPIX, Tastemade, Noggin and MTV Hits, with more to be added over time around the world.

Thanks to Nico for the tip!
