Apple have given a straight-to-series order for a 4-part docuseries from the directors of HBO hit McMillion$. Deadline report today that the capture of the Brian Lazarte and James Lee Hernández project followed a competitive tug-of-war ending in Apple paying "seven figures" to secure the prestigious rights.

The new untitled series is said to tell "the unbelievable true story of one of the largest scams in government history." Besides that tid-bit, little else is known about the project at this time.

The as-yet untitled project is the latest aquisition in an ever-growing catalogue of un-scripted content for Apple TV+ including; "Beastie Boys Story", "Visible: Out on Television", "Home", "Oprah Talks", "Dear..." (June 5th), "Dads" (June 19th), "Boys State" (July), "WeCrashed: The Rise and Fall of WeWork", "Prehistoric Planet" and the R.J. Cutler directed Billie Eilish documentary expected by the years end.

If you havent watched McMillion$ yet, now would be the perfect time to get your teeth into Brian Lazarte and James Lee Hernández's breakout hit. Available to stream exclusively on HBO.
